THE KANAJI STORY: FROM GREEN TO GOLD
A Dream to come true: In my dream I saw a farmer in Zambia with green fields. But the crops were good and nobody was buying. The children in schools were still hungry. The mothers were working hard but still struggling.
God answered: "Take what you have. Add value. Feed people. Empower others. And do it with excellence."
KANAJI /ka-NA-ji/ noun | Zambian origin
1. Definition:
The principle of investing first in people & local resources so that communities grow their own wealth, instead of waiting for imports or aid. This is what Daddy G.K Lukama pursued to do here on earth.
2. Root Idea:
From Luba Lunda → Kana (refuse/no) + Ji (self/own).
Kanaji = Not dependent — We Own It
3. In Business terms:
We derive Equity + Patient Capital by a Zambian Company to Scale Zambian Solutions. The opposite of extractive investments.
4. For Example:
Kanaji Investments Limited uses internal resources, local crops, and local people to build a factory that feeds the nation.
KANAJI means: Green to Gold with Kingdom Excellence
The GREEN GOLD CODE
Here's what it means using the GREEN GOLD CODE:
We grow food without chemicals. Like Jesus said, take care of God's garden.
We don't do things anyhow. We work like we are serving the King. Quality matters.
If it's not good enough for your own child to eat at school, it's not good enough.
We buy from 5,000 farmers — especially mamas and young people. When they win, we all win.
Our food is not just full. It's healthy. It helps children learn better in school.
When the factory grows, jobs grow. When farmers grow, the whole village grows.
What God gives us, we take care of. The money, the machines, the trust. We don't waste it.
We treat our workers, customers and neighbors like family. No cheating. No shortcuts.
We keep our promises. If we say the truck will come, it comes. If we say we'll pay the farmer, we pay.
Our 4 Pillars
What drives everything we do at Kanaji Investments Limited:
1. Nourish

2. Empower
Build a sustainable supply chain by working directly with 5,000+ smallholder farmers, with a focus on women and youth, through training and guaranteed markets.
3. Transform
Use local ingredients like Sweet Potato, Roselle, Pumpkin and Bitter Kola to create products that promote health, create jobs, and drive rural economic growth.
4. Excel
Operate with integrity, excellence, and stewardship, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
The Big Picture for Family
KANAJI is taking the GREEN crops from Zambian soil → Processing them in our factory → Turning them into GOLD products that feed children, create jobs, and bring money back to our people.
And we do it all God's way.
